Newly appointed Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur met the board members of News Broadcasters Association (NBA) on Saturday i.e. today. The NBA welcomed the minister and discussed the impact of COVID-19 on the broadcast industry.
Led by Rajat Sharma, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Hindi news channel ‘India Tv’ and President of NBA, this delegation included ‘ABP Network’ CEO Avinash Pandey, ‘BAG’ Group Chairperson and Managing Director Anuradha Prasad, ‘Zee News’ editor-in-chief Sudhir Chaudhary, ‘India Today’ group vice chairperson Kali Puri and ‘NDTV’ editorial director Sonia Singh were among those who discussed the impact on the industry during the post-Covid period. And apprised the minister of all his problems.
The meeting also highlighted a strong roadmap on how the broadcast industry will recover after the Kovid pandemic and move towards growth.
Interestingly, the NBA board was with the minister when India’s star javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra won Olympic gold. NBA officials along with Anurag Thakur expressed happiness over the record being set in the Tokyo Olympics.

Today’s conversation has helped us in providing a new direction to all the issues of the industry.
