Kerala: New cases of corona virus infection are increasing continuously in the state. But in the midst of all this, the Kerala government has decided to remove the weekend lockdown on Wednesday. Health Minister Veena George told the Legislative Assembly on Wednesday that the state government had received suggestions to fix additional criteria regarding the classification of test positivity rate. However, the government has also warned of imposing a triple lockdown.
Health Minister Veena George said, ‘We need to divide the areas on the basis of corona cases per 1000 population. A day earlier, a high-level meeting convened by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had decided to amend the COVID containment plan in the state after the TPR-based lockdown results of municipal bodies failed. After discussing the report given by the experts of the panel of Kovid Management, the members present in the meeting recommended allowing shops to open till 9 pm with some restrictions.
